These terms are written to be human-readable. By using Held, you're agreeing to these terms. If anything is unclear, please reach out — we'd rather explain than have you confused.

What Held is

Held is a calm daily companion app designed to support adults with ADHD through focus sessions, rest, emotional check-ins, and journalling. It is a wellness tool — not a medical device, not a therapy service, and not a substitute for professional mental health care.

Held is a wellness app, not a medical service. The guidance, suggestions, and content within Held — including any insights derived from wearable data — are for general wellbeing purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or a crisis helpline in your country.

Wearable device integration

If you choose to connect your Oura Ring or other wearable device to Held, you authorise Held to access specific health metrics via the device's official API on your behalf. You can disconnect this integration at any time. Held is not affiliated with or endorsed by Oura Health or any other wearable manufacturer.

Your content

Any journal entries, notes, or reflections you create within Held belong to you. We do not claim ownership over your personal content. Journal data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.

Availability

We work hard to keep Held available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend the app for maintenance. We'll do our best to give advance notice of any significant changes.

Pricing and subscriptions

Some features of Held require a paid subscription. Subscription pricing is clearly displayed within the app. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — if you're unhappy, reach out and we'll do our best to make it right.

Limitation of liability

Held is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use Held in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or within the app. Continued use of Held after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
